Stability: Stable
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur
Hazardous Decomposition: CO, CO Oxides of nitrogen and small amounts of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons will occur from burning of dry polymers.
Incompatibility (materials to avoid): Reacts with strong oxidizing agents as hydrogen peroxide, permanganates and perchlorates. Depending on amounts mixed, can result in intense heat, boiling, explosion of toxic gas generation.
SECTION VII. Spill or Leak Procedures
Wash the spill area with soap and water.
CAUTION: Spilled polymer is very slippery and will leave a film when dry if not thoroughly cleaned. Launder contaminated clothing immediately before polymer dries to prevent staining.
Waste disposal method: Dispose of waste in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations (a liquid with a pH between 2 and 12.5 is not defined a hazardous). This product is not considered a hazardous waste under current Federal RCRA requirements. Liquid should not be disposed in landfill. Polymer may be coagulated by adding Alum. Liquid may be discharged to an appropriate landfills or public treatment works. Solids may be incinerated or sent to an appropriate landfill. Whole products may be incinerated.
